ADHD brains are like a stunning mosaic - beautiful, complex, & delightfully chaotic. They're don't work in straight lines, and they definitely don't follow a paint-by-numbers approach.
I believe ADHDers are people who've been doing their best while being profoundly misunderstood -- often from their earliest memories. Many of us have been judged their entire life by standards designed for brains that work nothing like ours.
Meanwhile, our creativity, instincts, passions, big-picture thinking, empathy, and intuition - have been dismissed or ignored entirely. The very things that make ADHD brains brilliant often get labeled as problems to fix.
I won't lie to you: ADHD is challenging. It's not just superpowers or gifts. But I believe even the hard parts of a neurodivergent brain is something to be worked with and understood, not eliminated.
I'm not here to fix you (don't be too dissapointed, yet!) or make you more "normal." But -- I am here to help you understand how your brain actually functions, and tap back into that brilliant mosaic brain of yours.
I’ve worked with dozens of clients and shaped a coaching philosophy rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and a deep respect for the messy, complexities of being human.
A mosaic artist doesn't start with perfect pieces.
They work with fragments, with edges that don't quite fit, with pieces that seem out of place.
The beauty isn't in spite of these differences, it's because of them.
I became a coach by accident
In May 2020, at the height of the pandemic, I was an incredibly burnt-out law school graduate studying for the bar.
As any good ADHD-er dying of boredom might, I signed up for the first shiny thing that caught my eye -- a coaching certification. I told myself it was a productive distraction--maybe it would help me be a good supervisor in 10 years!--but, mostly - it was a great way to avoid studying.
My impulsivity that day worked in my favor. From that very first coaching class, I was hooked. Along the way, I’ve found a deep passion for working with people navigating ADHD who have a complex trauma past—especially those who’ve been told they’re ‘too difficult,’ aren’t consistent enough, or have "failed out" (or ghosted?) other coaching programs.
In my downtime, I’m usually enjoying NYC’s endless dopamine-paradise with my rescue pups or learning something new! Most recently, that’s been skiing (humbling) and an advanced wine certification (less so). The passions that inspired me to go to law school, criminal legal system reform and restorative justice, remains some of the causes closest to my heart. I spend my volunteer hours representing juvenile youth at the Safe Passage Project and helping NY'ers prepare for their parole hearings.
